Decoding Ken Lim - Singapore Idol Judge

Ken Lim is the odd one out among the Singapore Idol judges. You can tell that Florence Lian, Dick Lee and Jacintha Abeshigenarden are the best of friends and they have an air of happy disagreement. They don't seem to need to hide their likes and dislikes. Ken Lim, however, tries to appear scrupulously fair and in the course of which he gives us gems like what he said last night to Jonathan Leong about appealing to the "ah ums (aunties) and ah cheks (uncles)" and Paul Twohill making "Joakim Gomez" look good.

Ken Lim looks tortured most times. I think it is because more than anyone else, he is saddled with the task of looking after the Singapore Idol after the competition has ended.
